Groundworks Supervisor

Job Type: Temp-to-Perm / Direct Perm

Location: Norwich

Salary: £24.00 - £26.00 Per hour

Working Hours: 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join our team on a temp-to-perm / direct perm basis, working on a variety of construction projects in Norwich. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing groundworks operations, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all groundworks activities on-site.
• Lead and manage groundworks teams, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to specification.
• Work closely with the site management team to deliver projects within set budgets and timelines.
• Oversee health and safety compliance on-site, ensuring that all work is conducted safely and in line with company policies.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure they adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure a high standard of workmanship.
• Provide progress updates and reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – mandatory.
• First Aid certification – mandatory.
• CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card – mandatory.
• Proven experience in groundworks supervision within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of groundworks techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with site management.
