Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the welding supplies industry.

The successful candidate will work primarily in our workshop, located in Didcot, Oxfordshire, with occasional site visits to carry out calibration and maintenance tasks.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing faults in welding equipment and plasma cutters.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 60974-14 standards through regular calibration of welding equipment.
  • Maintaining the integrity of our hire fleet by performing routine checks and repairs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to assemble products, including welding equipment and torches.
  • Conducting gas equipment inspections to CP7 standards on site.
  • Testing and maintaining LEV systems to ensure safe working conditions.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong academic background, including a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant technical qualifications, such as a Level 3/Onc or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Proficiency in tool identification and handling.
  • An interest in electrical/electronic engineering and circuit board repair.
  • Standard computer skills are essential.

The estimated salary range for this position is £35,000 to £45,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include 28 days' annual leave, a vehicle, laptop, and mobile phone, as well as a pension scheme.
