About the Role

As a Digital Content Strategist at WildBrain, you will play a crucial role in developing and driving successful audience engagement results for our owned franchise objectives and external partnerships on YouTube.

Your primary focus will be to bridge our capabilities within the Audience & Engagement and Content Creation business units, ensuring effective collaboration on digital-first content strategies. You will work closely with production teams and the YouTube Audience & Network team to activate the digital execution for new IP and evergreen franchises on YouTube.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced Partnerships team, working with globally known kids' IP. With over 500 brands and 300K videos across 800 kids' channels, our branded YouTube network is one of the largest of its kind. We are looking for a talented individual who can help us deliver meaningful engagement with audiences around the world, elevating brand performance across all Audience Engagement KPIs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in producing and distributing digital-first content as a form of marketing, with a deep understanding of content performance on digital platforms, particularly YouTube. Proficiency in utilizing analytics and digital engagement metrics, translating their implications into actionable creative strategies, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and align content strategies to meet franchise goals, setting YouTube KPIs and ensuring relevant teams can execute to plan.
  • Leverage audience data and industry trends to propose optimized content solutions for YouTube.
  • Analyse partner briefs to provide content recommendations, identifying competitive trends and editorial themes that will inform the Content Creation team's development process.
  • Collaborate closely with the Content Creation team throughout the development process to ensure content strategies are met.
  • Oversee launch and ongoing performance of digital content for assigned brands, working with the Audience & Network team to monitor results and provide feedback within Audience Engagement and to the Franchise team on brand KPIs and tactics to improve results.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus time-off and generous RRSP matching.
