The Emerald Group is recruiting a Quantitative Analytics Professional to join its Japan Analytics team in London.

This role involves working with data to provide clients with advice on their exposures to natural disasters and developing technical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop analytics reports and presentations for clients.
  • Collaborate with brokers and actuaries to understand exposures and review modelling results.
  • Run client portfolios through natural catastrophe models to quantify the likelihood and severity of natural catastrophes.

Estimated Annual Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience).

Requirements:
  • BA/BSc or higher qualification in finance, statistics, geography, science, or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office suites and programming languages (SQL, R, or Python).
  • Experience with catastrophe modelling software (RMS, Verisk, CoreLogic) and GIS.
