Traffic Management Specialist

About the role:

As a Traffic Management Specialist with Powys County Council, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving highway safety infrastructure to ensure traffic flows safely and efficiently around the network.

About you:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in GIS and AutoCAD systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Traffic Management service for Powys, including design, calculations, drawings, estimates, reports, risk assessments, and surveys for traffic-related projects.
  • Provide expert advice and support in developing bespoke design solutions.
  • Manage and maintain the Authority's Road Traffic collision database, liaising with the Police Force as necessary.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on injury road traffic collisions or other traffic data, providing high-quality data to internal and external clients.
