Our Ideal Candidate

We're seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team. As a leader in our Audit team, you'll be responsible for managing a team of auditors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality audits. You'll also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying business opportunities and developing commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of auditors, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality audits.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, identifying business opportunities and developing commercial strategies.
  3. Act as an ambassador for BDO UK, participating in office marketing events and promoting the firm's services.
  4. Recruit, retain, develop and motivate employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed on time.
  5. Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales, identifying opportunities for additional billings.

Requirements

  • ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Previous experience of managing people.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
  • Project Management experience.
