Cloud Solutions Architect for Financial Services

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at AWS, you will work directly with customers, helping them gain a competitive edge using AWS. You will be an experienced technologist and key member of the Account team, influencing customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving security, compute, storage, networking, as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon Web Services with some of our most important customers.

Working alone or in partnership with the sales, services, and business development teams, you will be expected to:

  1. Formulate and execute a technology strategy to meet a customer's business objectives through the adoption of AWS.
  2. Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services to the AWS platform.
  3. Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
  4. Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
  5. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
  6. Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
  7. Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  8. Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
  9. Demonstrate an ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
A Day in the Life

Our solutions architects are experienced technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. On a daily basis, you will work alongside people who are leading the way in designing cloud-based architecture.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you'll own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and sustainability. To do this, you will collaborate with other teams such as account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
  2. 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  3. 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  4. Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting.
  5. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  2. Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  3. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
  4. Mandarin-language fluency.
