About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our water team in Birmingham. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of non-infrastructure projects and providing technical guidance to colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water and wastewater design, including experience with process engineering and MEICA. You will be responsible for undertaking and checking the delivery of design solutions, coordinating with other disciplines, and providing technical support and training to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design team on non-infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, including mentoring and training.
  • Undertake and check the delivery of design solutions, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Assist with business development activities, including preparing capability statements and submitting tenders.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards with a relevant institution.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of water and wastewater non-infrastructure design, including process engineering and MEICA.
  • Extensive experience in design, contract, and tender preparation, tender assessment, and contract administration.
