About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team at Mitie, working with a range of clients to carry out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work as required under contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on various equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting. They will also have knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete associated paperwork and reports.
  • Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within required timescales and certification is correctly completed.
  • Perform reactive and emergency tasks, using handheld technology effectively.
  • Be on a call-out rota to provide clients with full out-of-hours cover and assist other team members as required.
  • Monitor visiting sub-contractors and issue permits as necessary.
Requirements

The successful candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines and have a proactive approach to sourcing additional opportunities and works on sites.
