Job Summary
The Restaurant & Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing financial performance. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Managing Day-to-Day Operations
- Supervise and manage employees to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain high standards of service, quality, and sanitation in the restaurant and bar areas.
- Review staffing levels to ensure optimal guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
Leading Food and Beverage Team
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members.
- Advocate sound financial and business decision-making.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and retention.
- Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Identify educational needs of others and develop formal educational or training programs.
- Ensure employees are treated fairly and equitably, and strive to improve employee retention.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Assist servers and hosts on the floor during meal periods and high-demand times.
