Research Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Analyst to join our team in London. As a Research Data Analyst, you will be working closely with our COO's team to enhance the equity research process through the development and implementation of data analysis, automation, and reporting tools.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing data analysis and reporting tools using Python and Excel
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to drive tech innovation in investment research
  • Providing insights and reports on business performance and PnL to support investor decisions
  • Enhancing Excel models and collaborating with investors to optimize their use
  • Improving data integration and identifying new datasets to enhance the quality and availability of fundamental and market data

Required skills include:

  • Strong skills with Excel, especially for data and analytics use
  • High level of Python skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and communication skills, as well as exposure to dealing with front office trading and research teams
  • Understanding or deep curiosity around fundamental equity analysis, public markets investing, equity valuation, and statistics
  • Ability to credibly communicate technical and non-technical concepts
  • Front office facing data analysis and equity research backgrounds would be preferred
  • Strong academic background would also be beneficial
