Underwriting Assistant

The Underwriting Assistant will provide critical support to the Treaty team, as well as other teams, to facilitate renewal and new business activities. As the role progresses, responsibilities will increase, allowing underwriters to focus on underwriting and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and efficiently input data onto relevant systems, including premium, conditions, endorsements, quotes, and renewal entries, while managing workload effectively.
  • Respond promptly to data quality issues, taking corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Prepare high-quality submission data and ad hoc reports consistently.
  • Compare wordings and slips, preparing them for signature.
  • Maintain, organize, and complete the underwriting filing system.
  • Support audits by providing files, responding to queries, and providing evidence for system entries.
  • Participate in month-end procedures as directed, including liaising with technical accounting teams.
  • Support the manager in projects and assist with organizing conferences with clients and brokers.
