Job Details

Job Role
  • Supporting pupils in a classroom environment, including those with special needs.

Working Pattern
Part-time (can be done as a job share): 20 1/4 hours per week over 3 days, term time only plus 5 inset days.

Contract Type
Permanent.

Full-time Equivalent Salary
Between £23,500 and £23,893.

Required Skills and Experience
  • GCSE passes in Maths and English (C/4+) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice (D).
  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils in a classroom environment, including those with special needs (D).
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist members of the public with queries and complaints.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Good working knowledge of, and ability to follow, relevant school policies.
  • Approachable attitude when dealing with pupils, parents, or other visitors.
