Director in Accounts and Audit

Fed Finance, a dedicated recruitment firm specializing in Accounting & Corporate Finance roles, is seeking a Director in Accounts and Audit for a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will lead the accounting and auditing services for clients based in the UK, with a focus on French and UK accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality accounts and audit reports for clients with headquarters in France.
  2. Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Contribute to business development, staff training, and mentoring, as well as quality assurance activities.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and supervise accounts and audit assignments, ensuring timely completion within budget and to high standards.
  5. Review and approve accounts and audit reports for compliance with UK standards and client expectations.
  6. Provide technical advice and guidance on accounting and auditing matters.
  7. Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the French market for new business opportunities.
  8. Lead, coach, and mentor staff for their professional development.
  9. Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
  10. Participate in quality assurance and risk management activities.
Requirements:
  1. A professional qualification in accounting and auditing, such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in accounting and auditing, preferably in a senior role with exposure to the French market.
  3. Fluent in French, both spoken and written.
  4. Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
  5. Excellent leadership and management skills.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  9. Highly professional and ethical.
  10. Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
