Working Style: Community-based worker

Support your local community by working as a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer for Essex County Council.

  1. Consider the needs of people with disabilities, especially those with mobility impairments, when operating at the crossing site.
  2. Regularly assess the risks associated with operating at the crossing site to identify any potential problems.
  3. Maintain all uniform and equipment provided in good condition and request replacements as needed.

You will need access to your own vehicle and business insurance, as you will be required to travel to and from crossing sites as needed.

As an employee of Essex County Council, you will be required to register with the DBS update service if your role requires a DBS check.
