About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a Data Centre Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting and delivering a service within our large-scale account for AWE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and investigate BMS and SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct daily site checks to identify and rectify defects, maintaining plant rooms in a clean, safe, and tidy condition.
  • Rectify and record defects to meet SLA timeframes, ensuring the availability, health, safety, and security of the site.
  • Review subcontractor competencies before work permits are authorized, ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety documentation.
  • Provide innovative solutions and recommendations to improve processes, building, plant, and systems.
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of generators, cooling systems, and UPS systems, with awareness of site criticality and work risks.
  • Served a full technical apprenticeship and hold a technical qualification (C&G, HNC, ONC, etc.).
  • 18th Edition, 2391 Test & Inspect, understanding of LV distribution systems, critical site experience, or data centre experience.
  • Knowledge of CMMS, L8 Certification (not essential).
