Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to assist with litigation and other cases within our firm. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in litigation and excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Conduct thorough pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments to ensure accurate and effective case management.
  2. Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents with the court, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  3. Perform administrative duties, including calendar management, case file organisation, and logistics coordination, to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date pleadings and discovery indexes to facilitate case progress.
  5. Provide support to solicitors with applications and requests, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  6. Gather relevant information from various sources, utilising research and analytical skills to inform case decisions.
  7. Assist with case settlements, working closely with solicitors and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  1. At least one year of experience as a Paralegal in a litigation department, with a strong understanding of commercial litigation principles and practices.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including solicitors, clients, and other professionals.
  3. Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  4. Self-motivated and professional, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and contributing to a supportive team environment.
  5. Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
