Data Centre Project Lead Opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled Data Centre Project Lead to join our team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will have experience in managing data centre projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying up-to-date with industry codes and regulations.

About the Role:

  • Design and Planning: Collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to the mechanical design of data centres, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
  • Project Support: Assist in project management tasks, such as creating project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analyses, calculations, and simulations to optimize data center performance and energy efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks to ensure that all mechanical systems meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Maintenance: Participate in the development of maintenance strategies and procedures to ensure the ongoing reliability of data center equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors, to achieve project goals.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry codes, standards, and regulations related to data center engineering, and ensure projects adhere to these requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Centre Project Lead with a strong track record of client engagement, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters level.
  • Sound knowledge of BIM processes, Review, IES and other design software.
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations with a strong understanding and passion to apply sustainable design principles.
