Service Charge Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Charge Accountant to join our team at FirstPort.

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers. You will work closely with the Service Charge Accounting Team Leader to achieve our business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Delivering year-end accounts to residents in a timely fashion;
  • Carrying out necessary transactions to ensure a smooth accounting process for accounts;
  • Resolving issues on accounts and ensuring a quality service is provided to customers/clients;
  • Liaising effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and clients;
  • Adopting a proactive approach at all times to audit and accounts, liaising with analysts/managers on areas of concern.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA);
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting environment;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
