About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Marie Curie UK. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with terminal illnesses, while also offering emotional support to their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care and support to patients in their own homes, including helping with daily living tasks, monitoring symptoms, and administering medications.
  • Work collaboratively with our clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting a sense of comfort and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience in End-of-Life Care.
  • Current valid driving license and use of a car insured for business use.
  • Relevant experience in Palliative Care is desirable.
  • Emotional strength and ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
