About the Position

We are pleased to offer a Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity in a specialist SEN Secondary School in South East London. This role provides a talented and dedicated individual the chance to make a real difference in the life of a student with Autism.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to the student, enhancing their educational experience and promoting their personal growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the student in class and providing targeted interventions outside the classroom to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO to develop strategies aligned with the student's EHC Plan.
  • Developing and implementing behavior management plans to promote positive interactions.
  • Acknowledging the student's strengths and challenges, and adapting support to meet their individual needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with experience working with students with special educational needs, strong behavior management skills, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with Autism.

Salary and Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early career professional to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The salary for this role is £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
