Job Title: Production Team Leader - Food Facility

Location: Greater Manchester, United Kingdom

Reports To: Operations Manager

Hours: Double day-based shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Leader to join our team at Olivercarol's Food Facility in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of operatives to ensure the efficient and effective production of our FMCG products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and direction to the production team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to cover all areas within operations.
  2. Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe working order and that all production areas meet the required standard.
  3. Manage the workload of the production team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  4. Monitor and promote a clean as you go policy, and ensure all production areas meet the required standard.
  5. Carry out inspections, investigate damages, and report findings to the Operations Manager.
  6. Ensure all staff are trained to the required standard on Production Management Systems.
  7. Take full responsibility for all material and finished goods movements assigned to your shift.
  8. Build effective relationships with all departments.
  9. Ensure a timely and informative shift handover is conducted at the beginning and end of shift.
  10. Perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the Production department.
  11. Adhere to the company's H&S policies and procedures.
  12. Adhere to the company's Hygiene policies and procedures.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working within a fast-paced production environment, preferably in FMCG product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines. Experience with PLC's (Siemens or AB) would be an advantage.
