Job Summary:

The Production Shift Manager will play a key role in the Operations team, overseeing the efficient management of production lines within the packhouse. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team to achieve daily targets and packing efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Line Leaders to ensure successful daily output, meeting targets and packing efficiencies
  • Identify training requirements and take action as necessary, conduct performance appraisals and develop direct reports
  • Coordinate agency staff requirements with other Managers to ensure the required numbers are confirmed and implemented
  • Drive a centre of excellence approach, engaging with and coordinating continuous improvements
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Product Specifications, and Health & Safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience in Fresh Produce / Food Production / Packhouse / Packing environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team with a positive and encouraging approach
  • Ability to work confidently on shift, making decisions, effectively managing any discrepancies to find resolution, and achieving set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
