About the Role

As a key member of our Asda Opticians team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our optical department. Your leadership skills and experience will be essential in managing a team of optometrists and optical assistants, overseeing compliance processes and procedures, and reviewing sales forecasting and department targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of optometrists and optical assistants to deliver high-quality patient service
  • Oversee compliance processes and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Review sales forecasting and department targets to drive business growth and improvement
  • Coach and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance
  • Work closely with an optometrist to ensure the department is well-equipped to meet customer needs

Requirements

  • Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent customer and patient care skills
