Deputy Lead Clinical Services Pharmacy Technician

This exciting role supports the development and training of our Clinical Pharmacy Technician team working within Urgent and Emergency Care across two of our three sites of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

You will line manage our team Pharmacy Technicians to ensure they are well managed, supervised and supported in their development.

You will also be the Workplace Training Supervisor for the Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians within the clinical team, supporting them through the training to become qualified and registered as Pharmacy Technicians.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as Deputy to the Lead Clinical Pharmacy Technician in supporting the delivery of a consistent and comprehensive Trustwide clinical service across the three sites.
  • Manage clinical Pharmacy Technicians within Urgent and Emergency Care and help manage clinical activities for pharmacy staff not under their line management.
  • Manage recruitment, training, supervision and development of members of the team to ensure a safe and consistent service is maintained.
  • Support the training and assessment of staff training or rotating through the clinical service.
  • Act as a role model for all staff members and providing professional support to team members.
