Job Title: Advanced Nurse/Paramedic Practitioner

NHS Scotland is committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to the community. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse/Paramedic Practitioner to join our team in the Isle of Skye.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide unscheduled care across the Isle of Skye, working autonomously across Primary, Community, and Acute Services. They will be responsible for clinical decision-making, assessment, and treatment of patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, clinical care, and management of stable and acutely unwell patients and their families.
  • Make complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including OOH Hub and Acute Services.
  • Communicate with the GP/Acute Services about patients who need follow-up during normal working hours.
  • Support clinical training, such as ALS, ePILs, and BASICs, as part of SPA time.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a Registered and experienced healthcare professional with a proven record of continuing professional development. They will have a MSc level qualification in Advanced Practice and experience working in Primary Care OOHs or Emergency Care.
