Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Lower Limb Vascular Service at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our service.

Job Summary

We are seeking a registered general nurse with experience in nursing patients with lower limb vascular needs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of care for patients with complex vascular needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan care for patients with lower limb vascular needs
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Provide education and training to community teams and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and patient information leaflets
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following essential qualifications and experience:

  • Registered General Nurse
  • Leg Ulcer Management/Vascular Nursing university module or in-house leg ulcer training
  • Experience of nursing patients with lower limb vascular needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

We also welcome applications from candidates with non-medical prescribing qualifications, tissue viability university module, or experience of formal teaching.
