AtkinsRéalis is seeking a skilled Transportation Signalling Expert to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging signalling projects and contribute to the company's mission of reinventing transport for a sustainable future.

About the Role

This is an Assistant Signalling Project Engineer / Signalling Project Engineer position that requires supporting the engineering lead for projects, leading the engineering for small packages of work, and preparing for and supporting inter-disciplinary design reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the engineering lead for projects and leading the engineering for small packages of work.
  • Preparing for and supporting / running inter-disciplinary design reviews.
  • Preparing Engineering Management Plans, contributing to risk assessments and writing technical reports.
  • Producing / managing materials lists.
  • Liaising with client engineers.
  • Resolving engineering issues both on site and with design teams.
  • Assisting in the preparation of estimates and tender documentation.
  • Creating and managing of trackers / registers for engineering deliverables.
  • Production /collation of O&M manuals and H&S Files.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of signalling design, construction, testing or maintenance, as well as a HNC / HND / Degree or other technical qualification in electrical or electronic engineering.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Holds an IRSE Licence(s)
  • Experience of working on site.
  • Knowledge of level crossings.
  • Undertaken a railway signalling training scheme (e.g. Apprenticeship / graduate programme)
