About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Analyst to join our team at Optimum Recruit Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing bespoke products that meet client specifications, legislative requirements, quality, and HSE standards.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working on complex projects, have strong analytical skills, and can work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for providing a professional mechanical engineering service to the business, interfacing with customers and suppliers to ensure activities are completed to meet program, cost, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To design/analyze a wide range of bespoke products ensuring compliance with client specifications, legislative requirements, quality, and HSE standards.
  • Support the Design team with the use of analytical tools not limited to FEA and CFD techniques.
  • To work independently or as part of a team to develop new or existing products that meet the mechanical technical requirements of form, fit, and function.
  • To provide a professional mechanical engineering service to the business and so interface with customers and suppliers to ensure activities are completed to meet or improve program, cost, and quality expectations.
  • To Provide a point of contact for support and advice to other members of the design team and across the company as a whole.

Requirements:
  • Work on own initiative in a team environment
  • Take on Role as lead Engineer on larger contracts and oversee team of Design Engineers assigned to said contract.
  • Responsible to the Design Manager for all aspects of the mechanical design and integrity of the company's range of products.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
