Job Summary

Crédit Agricole CIB is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our EMEA Infrastructure team. As a Project Finance Intern, you will assist in the execution of large and complex project finance transactions, including financial modeling, documentation, and due diligence processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist transaction team leaders in the execution of project finance infrastructure transactions, including financial modeling and documentation.
  • Support directors in their general sector-oriented business origination activities, including participation in marketing efforts and carrying out sector-specific research.
  • Ensure that Infrastructure client results are properly reported through internal systems.
  • Prepare marketing material for presentation to clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of credit applications.
  • Cooperate actively with other business teams as transactions may require cross-department activities.
  • Assist in syndication process, including drafting of information memoranda and handling of Q&A with syndicate banks.
  • Assist in populating transactional internal systems.
  • On an ad hoc basis, assist in managing transactions in portfolio.

Requirements

  • Understanding of financial engineering principles, including experience in spreadsheet-based financial analysis and some understanding of tax and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis methodology in the context of complex structured transactions.
  • Understanding of technical and commercial aspects of project finance.
  • Financial education background, such as an MBA or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience or internships in related fields, such as project finance.
  • Familiarity with Project/Structured Finance.
  • First experience of risk analysis and cashflow modeling, transaction due diligence, and documentation.

Skills

  • Proactive and team-player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of Excel and project finance models.
  • Fluent English oral and written skills.
  • Numeracy and analytical research skills.
