Senior Battery Concept Engineer

Everec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Concept Engineer to join our team in Warwickshire. As a key member of our battery technology division, you will be responsible for leading the conceptualisation, design, and development of advanced battery systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptualisation and design of electric vehicle battery systems, considering performance, energy density, cost, and safety.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate battery systems into vehicle platforms.
  • Develop and optimise battery pack architectures, thermal management systems, and control strategies to meet performance and reliability targets.
  • Perform simulations, analysis, and testing to validate battery performance and optimise design parameters.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in battery engineering, with a focus on electric vehicle batteries.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive design decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience leading technical projects or teams.
