Job Title: Cloud Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team at GIOS Technology. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines using Scala, Spark, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop efficient data pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources into the Raw Layer of DATAHUB.
  • Data Modeling and Transformation: Model data and develop efficient data pipelines to enrich and transform large volumes of data.
  • Data Quality and Control: Implement data transformation and quality control processes to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Cloud Platform Expertise: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, and SQL.
  • Data Processing Frameworks: Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Automation: Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.

Requirements:

  • Cloud Data Engineer Certification: Not required but preferred.
  • Experience with Data Warehousing and Data Modeling: Familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
