Fastmarkets Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Markets Editor - Biofuels (Hybrid) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and produce high-level content, including insightful market reporting, in-depth focus pieces, and interviews, to drive market engagement and visibility in the biofuels and feedstock markets.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes, and use this information to inform content creation.
  • Price Development: Identify prices to launch and promote, including determining specifications, methodology, and data submission pools.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the broader business to plan engagement and lead the biofuels and feedstock team to engage with market participants and exchanges.
  • Content Coordination: Produce, coordinate, and edit a range of strategic content in a joined-up approach across markets and geographies for maximum impact.
  • Price Assessment: Assess and approve prices for certain strategic markets as required, and ensure all prices produced by reporters meet Fastmarkets' and its regulators' rigorous standards.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a brand ambassador at Fastmarkets' and other events to burnish our reputation for market-leading expertise and insight.
Key Interfaces
  • Editorial Director and Managing Regional Editors: Partner with these teams to define and plan priorities for strategic content and customer engagement in a specific market group.
  • Reporters and Editorial Operations: Engage with these teams to guide and support a joined-up approach to high-impact strategic content.
  • Marketing Team: Align content approach with strategic goals of the Marketing team.
  • Product and Strategy Team: Work with this team to align and showcase the value of our content on the customer dashboard.
  • Research Team: Engage with research to produce content that is aligned with internal forecasting.
Requirements
  • Strong Journalism Skills: Possess strong journalism skills and writing flair.
  • Industry Network: Have a network of contacts and strong industry relations, ideally in the biofuels and feedstock markets.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically about the long-term goals of the organization.
  • Market Analysis: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
