Job Description

Job Title: Senior Stress Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Stress Engineer to join our team at Cyient. As a Senior Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the analysis of aerostructures design, development, and projects using FEA and classical hand analysis methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis of aerostructures design, development, and projects using FEA and classical hand analysis methods.
  • Develop and implement detailed design and development plans for composite and metallic components and assemblies.
  • Manage the execution of work packages and ensure the convergence of delivery plans with customer requirements.
  • Define integrated design solutions for new components and assemblies, and modifications to existing components.
  • Optimize design solutions based on cost, quality, manufacturability, serviceability, and performance.
  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams to prepare drawings and engineering data required for manufacturing and data submittal to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Provide modeling, simulation, and prototyping services.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in aerostructures design, development, and projects.
  • Current or past Approver or checker delegation is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of aerospace materials, standards, and specifications.
  • Expertise in Hypersizer, HyperX is mandatory for composites design and optimization.
  • Review and finalize concept design, implement detailed design and development, support on PDR activities and maturity, support qualification and production of composite and metallic components and assemblies.
  • Manage the execution of work packages identified and ensure the convergence of delivery plans with customer requirements.
  • Define integrated design solutions for new components/assemblies and modifications to existing components (Composites and metallic).
  • Optimise the design solutions, based on the correct balance of cost, quality, manufacturability, serviceability and performance.
  • Coordinate with multi functional teams to prepare drawings and other engineering data required for the manufacturing of the product and data submittal to the customer.
  • Communicate effectively with co-worker, customer and suppliers.
  • Modelling, simulation and prototyping services.
