About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our team at Sedamyl UK. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in the growth and development of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of onsite project requirements from inception to completion, ensuring effective project execution and delivery.
  • Lead and grow a team of highly skilled Project/Design Engineers to ensure effective project lifecycle/execution on site.
  • Survey site conditions and produce accurate drawings of design solutions, following through manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  • Support the technical office with construction drawings and manage and update drawings of current plants and processes.
  • Identify solutions to various plant issues to improve equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Provide support to the full project lifecycle from design to project delivery, training, and handover.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, services providers, site-based/group engineering team, and production team.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings as the point of contact for various site-related project issues.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D package.
  • Proven experience of leading and growing a successful Project Engineering Department.
  • Strong management of drawing revisions and issues.
  • Previous experience managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites.
