We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineering Lead with deep expertise in designing and implementing advanced test frameworks and automation solutions

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Python-based test automation and a robust understanding of end-to-end testing strategies

"Key Responsibilities:''

  • "Automation Tooling Analysis":
  • Review current test automation tools and frameworks
  • Identify any gaps, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement in test automation
  • Evaluate the scalability, maintainability, and performance of the existing automation framework
  • Determine the level of integration between test automation and the development pipeline (CI/CD)
  • "Review of Testing Strategy":
  • Conduct an in-depth assessment of the existing test strategy, including approaches to unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Evaluate the scope and effectiveness of current testing processes
  • Review the current level of test coverage for different types of tests (functional, non-functional, performance, security, etc.)
  • "Evaluation of Testing Environments":
  • Review existing test environments, their configurations, and how they are managed
  • Analyse the test data management approach, including how test data is generated, used, and maintained across environments
  • "Test Suite Rationalisation and Optimisation":
  • Work with the squads to identify potential improvements to execution time, environment and application stability, environment availability, reporting, automation or data creation/management
  • Review test suites and ensure they designed to be data-independent, creating or resetting data dynamically to avoid reliance on pre-existing data
  • Look at implementing automated data generation scripts and tools to quickly create, manage, and reset test data required for each test run
  • "Review Non-functional Testing":
  • Review current practices for all non-functional testing, and its alignment with project requirements including test planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting tools, frameworks, and methodologies in use
  • Provide recommendations for improving non-functional test coverage
  • "Automated Quality Gates":
  • Implement automated gates in CI/CD pipeline to enforce quality standards, catch issues early, and ensure automation code is clean, reliable, and maintainable
