Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Equipment Specialist at Axéréal, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Your duties will include:

  • Performing corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance
  • Repairing production and processing equipment, as well as utility-related equipment
  • Supporting the installation of new equipment
  • Ensuring all repairs are documented
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area
  • Completing all paperwork neatly and correctly
  • Participating in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program
  • Complying with all procedures, regulations, and policies applicable
  • Reporting unsafe operations and using mandatory PPE as defined
  • Offering flexibility in working hours subject to business needs
  • Working on call, outside regular hours

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or technical qualification, or equivalent by experience
  • Mechanical knowledge and awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer skills
  • Experience in working in repair and maintenance of machinery in a food or drink manufacturing environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a team
