We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly non-verbal pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support for a non-verbal pupil, helping them thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 support for a non-verbal pupil with ASD, fostering communication and engagement.
- Assisting in developing and delivering tailored learning strategies alongside the SENCO and class teacher.
- Encouraging social interaction and helping the pupil navigate daily classroom activities.
- Promoting a calm, structured environment that supports the pupil's emotional well-being.
- Liaising with parents, therapists, and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support.
