Project Manager

Reporting to the Facility Services & HSSC Director, the Head of Projects and Minor Works will lead the Programme Delivery team to deliver a lifecycle, construction, and refurbishment programme at Pinewood Studios Group. The programme includes asset replacement, refurbishment of existing buildings, installation of new infrastructure, and support to internal and external stakeholders on wider construction, sustainability, and development projects.
The Programme Delivery Manager is responsible for the design, management, and delivery of all projects within the programme from inception to completion. This includes day-to-day management of the Programme Delivery team, collating and leading the delivery programme of both planned and unplanned lifecycle, construction, and refurbishment projects to protect the business from adverse risk.
The Programme Delivery Manager will meet with key internal and external stakeholders to establish project briefs, scopes, and requirements. They will implement departmental performance criteria, ensuring tasks are set and deadlines are met. The Programme Delivery Manager is responsible for individual project budgets, including cost procurement, analysis, appraisal, and payment management.
The Programme Delivery Manager will conduct construction contract negotiation and administration, involving collating required documentation for construction contracts, payment notices, design change control, and practical completion. They will ensure that appropriate project documentation is produced, including Employer's Requirements, pre-construction information, pre-tender plans, detailed design packages, schedules of work, detailed specifications, tender packages, and cost plans are prepared and implemented.
The Programme Delivery Manager will assist with the appointment and management of the performance of professional advisors to ensure projects are delivered to the required standard. They will ensure that project programmes are agreed between all project stakeholders and that key deadlines are met. The Programme Delivery Manager will comply with the Group's Policies and Procedures to ensure quality is delivered to the highest standard throughout each project.
The Programme Delivery Manager will source contractors with a view to managing a portfolio of approved contractors that meet Company requirements. They will chair pre-start, progress, and handover meetings with contractors and ensure clear communication throughout the course of each project. The Programme Delivery Manager will regularly and clearly report progress to management to enable CapEx approval and strategic direction.
The Programme Delivery Manager will oversee the maintenance of project correspondence, documents, drawings, certificates, and financial records through management of the Group Technical Library. They will assist with the planning process as required and manage the latent defect process, working closely with legal advisors and design team as required.
Requirements:
- Degree Level education in a technical discipline (Building Surveying, Project Management, or Engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Previous construction and/or building services project management experience in the industrial or commercial sectors.
- Robust and strong attitude to negotiations with contractors.
- Desire and ability to engage in continued professional development.
