PLC Software Engineer – The Role:

Join our team of experienced engineers at Automation Experts and take on a challenging role in the development of complete solutions for material flow and internal logistics systems.

As a PLC Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Control projects from concept, completing functional design specifications, software design using Siemens equipment (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
  • Overseeing and completing installation and commissioning activities.
  • Approximately 40% office work – 60% site. Mixed between UK and EU travel.
  • Potential to be on call – Overtime is paid to recognize this.

Automation Engineer – The Person:

  • Flexibility to complete commissioning phases in the UK and Europe where possible.
  • Experience using PLC software.
  • Ideally live locally but willing to consider flexible working.
  • Training on Siemens equipment is available.

This role is based in the East Midlands and is commutable from within and around Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, and Grantham.

This position would suit an experienced Control Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer, PLC Software Engineer, or Systems Software Engineer.
