We are seeking an exceptional Data Tracking Implementation Specialist to join our team at the BBC, driving the strategic direction of our tracking schema evolution and ensuring alignment with our digital products' visions.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position that requires strong technical expertise in implementing data tracking or tagging in websites, web applications, and/or mobile applications at scale. The successful candidate will contribute to the data tracking plan for our digital product portfolio by collaborating with key stakeholders across the BBC on roadmap alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic direction of our tracking schema evolution, ensuring alignment with our digital products' visions.
  • Contribute to the data tracking plan for our digital product portfolio by collaborating with key stakeholders across the BBC on roadmap alignment.
  • Lead and drive the definition of tracking event schemas across multiple products; conforming to a coherent event taxonomy and naming standards and conventions.
  • Transform business requirements into technical event specifications developed with other members of the Product Management and Analytics teams.
  • Own acceptance criteria, definition of done, and troubleshooting of analytics-related issues and provide QA sign-off for tech implementation alongside product engineering teams.
Benefits and Requirements

We offer a competitive salary range of £53,000 - £71,000 depending on experience, a negotiable salary package, a flexible 35-hour working week for work-life balance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy an extra 5 days, a defined pension scheme, discounted dental, health care, and gym. We're looking for someone with previous experience in implementing data tracking or tagging in websites, web applications, and/or mobile applications at scale, as well as creating and implementing tracking plans across a portfolio of products. Strong understanding of data tracking and tagging best practices is essential, along with experience in using analytics tools like Google Analytics or Adobe analytics.
