Health and Safety Officer Opportunity

An experienced Health and Safety Officer is sought to join a reputable mechanical service contracting business with a strong presence in Leicestershire since 1982.

The company has established a reputation for excellence in the HVAC industry and extensive experience in the design and installation of air conditioning and ventilation systems, particularly in the healthcare and medical imaging sectors.

They are now looking to recruit a skilled Health and Safety Officer to lead their busy team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take lead on all Health and Safety activities, including creating and maintaining accurate and up-to-date health and safety records.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident reports, inspection findings, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
  • Ensure general administration of the Health and Safety service is carried out accurately and timely.
  • Encourage and provide health and safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Health and Safety Officer (essential).
  • NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Full UK driving licence.
