We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Manager to lead and motivate teams of warehouse operatives in our new 528,000 sq. ft shared user facility in Rockingham.
As a Warehouse Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring teams are working to achieve and where possible exceed KPI's delivering a high level on time, on cost and in line with customer service expectations.
The ideal candidate will have previous management or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment and a detailed understanding of warehouse management systems.
You will be a strong communicator at all levels and proactive and flexible in your approach to work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Motivating and managing a team of warehouse operatives across various shift patterns.
- Ensuring teams are working to achieve and where possible exceed KPI's delivering a high level on time, on cost and in line with customer service expectations.
- Championing health and safety best practices across the site ensuring all teams work in line with processes to keep everyone safe.
- Responsible for clearly cascading working procedures and escalating any issues that arise.
- Manage absence, conduct and performance issues in line with company policies with the support of the people team.
- Assist in the recruitment and induction of new colleagues with the support of the people teams.
What we offer:
- Starting salary between £28,000 and £30,000 depending on experience, plus £2000 p.a shift premium.
- Shifts are any 5 from 7 and weekly rotating: 06.00am – 14.00pm / 14.00pm – 22.00pm. Includes some weekends.
