Job Summary:

Reed is seeking a highly skilled Ledger Manager to oversee the accounts payable and receivable ledgers for a temporary assignment with our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, maintaining up-to-date ledger entries, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies found in records.
  • Prepare financial statements related to accounts receivable and payable.
  • Implement and maintain internal control procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data and efficiency of internal processes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ledger team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Ledger Manager or in a similar supervisory role within finance.
  • Strong understanding of ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant finance qualification or equivalent experience.
