Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking a dedicated and motivated Facilities Assistant to join our collaborative team. This role will assist the Estates Team with the care of the academy premises, including general maintenance duties, minor repairs, and refurbishment works. The successful candidate will support the Facilities Manager in ensuring the health and safety and security of the academy.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Good DIY skills, knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills, and an understanding of safeguarding are desirable. We offer fantastic CPD opportunities and support for staff development.
As a Facilities Assistant, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team, with a flexible and proactive ethos. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments. You will also be responsible for ensuring the academy premises are safe and secure, and that all health and safety procedures are followed.
