Graduate Technical Planner / Design Engineer Position Overview

The successful candidate will be working in a small technical team planning manufacturing processes and creating drawings using Solidworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drawing Control: Ensure accurate and efficient drawing management.
  • Best Route of Manufacture and Bill of Materials: Identify and implement optimal manufacturing processes.
  • Timely Planning and Processing: Plan and process new work in a timely manner to meet customer lead times.
  • Creating Drawings using Solidworks: Utilize Solidworks to create high-quality drawings.
  • Technical Planning: Develop and implement technical plans for manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering: A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Industry Experience: Industry experience is beneficial but not essential.

Remuneration:

  • Salary: Salary dependent on experience, likely starting at £27k-£28k for a graduate and up to £33k for someone experienced.
  • Working Hours: 39 hour week (Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 with a half hour lunch break, Fridays 08:00-13:00).
  • Overtime: Overtime available paid at an enhanced rate.
  • Benefits: Death in service benefits after 12 months and a company contributory pension scheme.
