Havencourt Care Home is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care home facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the size of areas to be painted and prepare work surfaces
- Erect and install scaffold towers, work platforms, and stepladders
- Prepare work areas and protect surfaces not requiring painting
- Paint interior and exterior walls using various tools and techniques
- Apply coatings, coverings, and claddings on external walls
- Inspect painted surfaces and rectify any flaws or defects
- Remove tools and supports and clean work areas
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
- Check control panels and electrical wiring for issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Conduct garden and yard upkeep
- Maintain, service, and clean equipment
- Inspect and repair damages to building surfaces
- Participate in various projects, including renovations
- Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager
- SVQ Painting and Decorating qualification
- Consistent and successful working history
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Experience working in care homes or large units is beneficial
