Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a reputable civil engineering contractor. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting a Senior Quantity Surveyor in various tasks, including issuing subcontract drafts, collating information for monthly reporting, and ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
Key Responsibilities- Assist a Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing construction projects
- Issue subcontract drafts and negotiate prices with suppliers
- Collate information for monthly reporting, including CVR (Cost Value Reporting)
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete, including project changes and variations
- Deal with pricing variations and negotiate with suppliers
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (although not essential)
- Excellent IT and maths skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent report writing skills
- Experience in utilities or highways is desirable
- NEC experience is not essential but a plus
