Activity Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Homes. As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities for our residents, designed to promote social interaction, engagement, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver a programme of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Work closely with the senior team to identify and address social care needs and develop activities that meet these needs
  • Maintain and promote activities that are enjoyable and stimulating for older people
  • Design and facilitate group activities that promote social interaction and engagement
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Experience in planning and delivering activities for older people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the senior team and other stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to design and facilitate group activities
  • Knowledge of social care principles and practices
