About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Civil Engineer to join our UK offices, where you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of marine, coastal and inland waterway projects.

Job Summary

This is an excellent chance to work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of projects, including designing marine structures, providing technical guidance and support, and communicating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • Designing quay walls, jetties, dolphins, slipways, berthing, and mooring facilities for various projects.
  • Providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Communicating complex technical information to external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Preparing detailed technical reports.
Requirements
  • CMIOSH or equivalent qualification, with a strong desire to achieve Chartered status.
  • Proven experience in the design of marine structures, preferably using software such as STAAD Pro, LUSAS, or SAP 2000.
  • Familiarity with buildability and buildable design principles.
  • Detailed knowledge of maritime standards and guidelines, including BS6349 and PIANC.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in designing lock gates, heavy-duty pavement, breakwaters, and linkspans.
  • Coastal engineering design and assessment expertise.
  • Knowledge of marine geotechnics.
  • Temporary works design experience.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software such as Optimoor, Wallap, and Plaxis.
Qualifications
  • MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree (minimum 2:1).
